We created the Dead Castro Dance page back in August, as our homage to the ailing Cuban dictator. We spared no expense (up to $9.95) to put up that page, which we still consider the finest and most appropriate tribute to the old tyrant.

Goodbye, Fidel. We wish we could say it was nice knowing you.

If you like the Peanuts comic strips, and you like Marvel Comics, wouldn’t it necessarily follow that you would be utterly enamored of these Peanuts-Marvel hybrid characters?

The Marx Brothers Silver Screen Collection is the full set of all five movies released by Paramount with all four brothers: The Cocoanuts, Animal Crackers, Monkey Business, Horse Feathers, and Duck Soup.

Their subsequent MGM movies (beginning with A Night at the Opera in 1935) were arguably better cinema, with better plot and character development, and big song and dance numbers. But in this blogger’s opinion, they just weren’t as funny as these five Paramount pics. And funny is really all that matters with the Marxes. Strongly recommended!
