From the AP wire: Malaysian proposes ’shouting’ room
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia - A Malaysian politician has a solution for putting an end to screaming matches in a state legislature: set up a “shouting therapy” room where they can argue to their heart’s content.
Of course, here in the States, we already have the Huffington Post.

Last week, Norman, Oklahoma was a battlefield in the War on Christmas. An argument over whether to call their annual Christmas parade the “Christmas Parade” or the “Holiday Parade” resulted in the resignation of the parade commitee, and the cancellation of the event. But now, a new batch of volunteers has stepped forward, with a breathtakingly elegant compromise: The “Main Street Christmas Holiday Parade” will proceed as scheduled, Dec. 9.

From the Reuters wire:
Dancing eunuchs taxing red-faced shopkeepers
Dancing and singing eunuchs are knocking on doors in the Indian city of Patna in a bid to embarrass shopkeepers into paying their taxes. The new shock strategy, in which sari-clad and heavily made up eunuchs accompany officials on their rounds of crowded shopping areas in a country notorious for tax evasion and non-payment, has been declared a success.
Tha article says that eunuchs, or “hijras,” are thought to possess occult powers.

Oh well. Happy Veterans Day, veterans. We still love you.
