I don’t often write about football in this venue, but this is quite notable. In the last minute of the OU game this weekend, the referees made not one but two bonehead calls, costing the Sooners the game. Even the instant replay tapes proved the calls were wrong, but they were not overturned. And so now, imposing an all-too-rarely applied punishment, the Pac-10 Conference has suspended the entire officiating crew. Good. The rotters.
