I found Trumalia via our dear friend Cass, and now I’m hooked.

But not really hooked on Trumalia, as such. Trumalia is an O.K. search engine, but I’m hooked on the riddles! To promote their site, Trumalia is giving away five prizes to whoever solves their embedded “enigmas.” The whole complicated process is explained here.

Mind you, these aren’t modern riddles, like “How many Aggie cheerleaders does it take to shave a pig.” No, these are ancient, old-timey riddles from far-flung long-dead cultures, riddles like “For I hast no merkins, Yet I run like a whelp, No milkmaid ever Was everso mighty Laden with Trundles! What am I?”

Now that one was easy (“I am a weevil”), but some of them are pretty tough. Y’all should probably forget I mentioned this contest for these valuable prizes, and don’t try to compete.
