We did some testing of “blogsearch.google.com,” Google’s new Beta search engine just for blogs. It’s Beta, all right. It doesn’t do a good job of finding pages relevant to your search terms, and it apparently has no filter to keep out fake spam blogs. Presumably, Google is working on these issues. Until they’re fixed, we say use Technorati.

Yes, the new Google search is just awful. Worked far better (on my Blogger site) before the change. (Actually, I dare say it does not work AT ALL.)

Sorry I don’t have my e-mail address anywhere easy to find. I used to have it on every page, but a couple months ago, my whole blog got deleted, and I’ve been slowly — sloooowly — rebuilding it in my spare time, redesigning it along the way. And I guess I haven’t put that back on yet.
