Sorry… no. If I had a Rembrandt painting, and I stripped the paint off the canvas, and painted something else on it, it would be wrong to pass it off as a Rembrandt.
I installed your V4NY38 theme because I needed a three-column template in a hurry. For as long as I used that theme, your design credit was in my sidebar. And you are permanently acknowledged on this blog with heartfelt gratitude for your work. But I’ve made a hundred changes since then, and am making more all the time. These include both stylistic changes (fonts, sizes, column widths, rules, colors, images, and the like) and coding changes (adding CSS classes, putting all the ’sidebar’ code in ’sidebar.php’ where it belonged, fixing errors, etc.). When I reached a point where it would have been false to represent this theme as your work, I had to remove the credit.
